why is it when the rumors start about upcoming movies like Spiderman 4 and Batman whatever the new title is, people will automatically to put in a comedian to be the villain, wtf, Jim Carrey as carnage in spiderman? he was already a joke based riddle was the opposite of a genius and a lot more of a dork, and I read that someone wanted steve Carrell as the new Ridler in the new Batman films, these films arent the mesh or 40 Year Old Virgin, is the superhero movie is supposed to be dramatic and action-packed not based on some stupid jokes while gettin their ass beaten by the hero …… your thoughts please
Obviously the studio view large name is more important than proper casting. Superhero movies are Marvel and DC based are pure studio flicks. Unless a big name director, he has little influence on casting or anything else for that matter. The reason fans mention comedians as possible signs villians is probably because the comic is bigger then life and a lot of comedians have, that larger than life personality (facial expressions in particular). Mind you, if you were to have any worry about an actor choice that requires an unusually expressive character 9 out of ten people would say Jim Carrey.
